The 144th Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show in New York held the finals and named “Best in Show” at Madison Square Garden Tuesday evening. Siba, a standard poodle took the honor amongst the seven finalists. The crowd was static when Siba was announced winner. Bourbon, a whippet won Reserve Best in Show.
Siba is the fifth standard poodle to win the prestige award and the first one since 1991. Crystal Murray was the handler and “Best in show” judge was Robert H. Slay.
The other dogs in the final round were Conrad, a Shetland sheepdog, Daniel, a golden retriever, Vinny, a wire fox terrier, Wilma, a boxer, Bono, a Havanese.
