Pre-Jam party on Wednesday to Saturday evening with headliner Lynyrd Skynrd closing was picture perfect. Fans that filled the open arena for the festival each day were able to embrace top quality performances with a weekend of great weather. Campsites were filled and Walker, Minnesota was welcoming to accommodate all the concert attendees.
Lynyrd Skynrd “Last of the Street Survivors Farewell Tour” headlined the final night and the open-air arena was overflowing with people rocking the night away. The performance with all the lighting effects and background screening wrapped the strong performance.
Each day was filled with top notch bands with other headliners Thursday “Train” and Friday “Skillet.” The list of performers was impressive with “The Goo Goo Dolls, Rick Springfield, Gov’t Mule, The Sweet, Thunderstruck, Mountain Ash and the list continues. Music in between the Main Stage performances were at the Tiki Bar Stage, Saloon Stage and Lazy Moon Acoustic Stage.
Every year Moondance Jam honors the Military and gives a toast in Honor of Bill, creator of Moondance and his father-in-law Willard Arends. There are many other activities during the day for participants; making a full busy weekend.
