The world-famous Budweiser Clydesdales made their appearance to give recognition to the D-S Beverages, Inc. that has earned their third “Ambassadors of Excellence” award. There are only 10 of 430 wholesalers in the country that have earned “The Jake” trophy by taking three awards within five years. The eight Clydesdales made their appearance in Moorhead, Minnesota at the awards dinner.
The Clydesdales also made other appearances throughout the area. Doug Restemayer, President of D-S Beverages rode on the carriage Saturday in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota to hand out cases of Budweiser to retailers along West Lake Drive. The eight majestic Clydesdales range from four to eight years old and weighed up to 2,200 pounds. Clydesdales have become nationally recognized creating an iconic identity for Budweiser. The demanding appearance travel schedule runs nearly 300 days a year.
