NYC Half Marathon by United Airlines

The 13thannual running of the NYC Half Marathon was held on Sunday, March 17, 2019.  Over 24,600 runners participated over a 13.1mile course that was newly designed.  The route started from Prospect Park in Brooklyn to Central Park in Manhattan. The new course crossed the Manhattan Bridge, cutting through Times Square on the way to the finish line.

Thomas Panek made history on Sunday as the first blind person and guide dog to complete the NYC half marathon.  Gus and two other fellow Labs (Westly and Waffle) were the guide dogs that took turns along the course with completion in 2 hours and 21 minutes.
