Biden came on stage to an exuberant crowd and embraced Heitkamp. Biden removed his suit coat and rolled up his sleeves and got right to the message of support for Heitkamp. Biden spoke about the concern of future health care, trade issues affecting the farmers of North Dakota and the importance to get out and vote.
Biden said “I think the very character of America is on the ballot this year.” The rally was the beginning of the final statewide crossing of a bus tour that Sen. Heidi Heitkamp was doing to get her message across for healthcare, agricultural trade amongst others. Heitkamp asked everyone to help volunteer and to get out to vote for Tuesday’s election.
