NYC 264th St. Patrick’s Day 2025 Parade

New York City: Fifth Avenue in Manhattan was lined with multi-thousands of parade-goers dressed in green to watch the 264th St. Patrick’s Day Parade amongst the nearly 2 million lining the street. The parade is considered the oldest and largest St. Patrick’s Day Parade in the world.

The parade passed by the St. Patrick’s Cathedral while His Eminence Timothy Cardinal Dolan, Archbishop of New York,  greeted all the dignitaries and marchers as they passed by the Cathedral.  Marching bands, bagpipers, performers, politicians, dignitaries acknowledged their respect by performing in front of the Cathedral and receiving the warmed welcomed wave from Cardinal Timothy Dolan as they moved forward toward the finish at 79th Street.

Ireland was represented with Irelands National Police & Security Service; An Garda Siochana in the parade.  The Grand Marshal Michael A. Benn, New York Gov. Kathy Hochul, Mayor Eric Adams, NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch, firefighters marched with 343 U.S. flags representing the number of firefighters killed in 9/11.  Other marchers included the 69th New York Infantry Regiment, New York Police Department and many more.
