New York City – Columbus Circle was filled with hundreds of protesters in the afternoon Saturday with signs, flags and chanting. About 300-400 gathered around the entrance of the Columbus Circle Mall and shouted their messages for a couple of hours. Some protesters entered the mall and shops closed their doors. After the stance at Columbus Circle the pro-protesters moved on.
Pro- Palestine protesters made their way to the American Museum of National History on the west side. The museum was closed and barricaded by the time the protesters arrived and officers were blocking the entrances. Protesters chanted and prayed outside the museum and then disbursed.
