Minneapolis, MN – The Basilica Block Party was successfully held for two days, August 2 and 3rd with a large packed attendance and an impressive lineup. The backdrop skyline view gave an impressive scene of the city and the park ran right next to the Mississippi River. Boom Island Park offered a new look with a bigger expansion of open green lawn after a two-year break because of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. Previously the venue was held on the grounds of The Basilica of St. Mary as a backdrop. The new location will allow for future grown for a larger audience.
Two stages brought a continual full day and evening of music for the fans to enjoy. The lineup included Main Stage; Friday – Goo Goo Dolls, The Fray, Dean Lewis, Red Clay Strays, Yam Haus, Socktopus; Saturday – Counting Crows, NeedToBreathe, Judah & The Lion, Phillip Phillips, St. Paul and The Minneapolis Funk All Stars, Guytano. Secondary Stage; Friday – Run Westy Run, Black Widows, Scarlet Goodbye, Whisky Rock and Roll Club, Parishes, Cindy Lawson; Saturday – The Ocean Blue, Nur-D, The Mary Jane Alm Band, She’s Green, Muata’s.
