Minneapolis, MN – Counting Crows headlined the closing of the two-day Basilica Block Party in Minneapolis. Boom Island was fully packed with thousands of fans taking in a complete lineup of performances. Entertainment started at 12:30 each day and ran to late in the evening. There was continual music at all times with two stages; when one stage performance was completed the other started.
Among the performers on the main stage were Guytano, St. Paul and The Minneapolis Funk All Stars, Phillip Phillips, Judah & The Lion, NeedToBreathe, headliner Counting Crows. The second stage with local performers included The Muata’s, She’s Green, The Mary Jane Alm Band, NUR-D, The Ocean Blue.
The new location for The Basilica of St. Mary festivity for raising funds for structural preservations at Boom Island had a variety of vendors and many food trucks including a ferris wheel. There were a large number of volunteers to make sure all requests were attended to and keeping everything moving smoothly. Boom Island Park has a beautiful skyline and runs along the Mississippi River with more area to expand future growth and convenient parking.
