New York – 22 years later 9/11 day closed out over NYC with a double rainbow viewed from Park Avenue in upper parts of New York as others captured one full rainbow over Queens, New York.
Lower Manhattan, Monday marked 22 years anniversary since the Twin Towers of World Trade Center collapsed making the worst terrorist attack on the U.S. soil. The site was filled with victims’ relatives reading the names of the dead and accompanied by ringing the bell. They were joined by Vice President Kamala Harris and husband amongst other dignitaries. A moment of silence was held at 9:37 marking the time Flight 77 – 22 years ago striking the Pentagon.
Nearly 3,000 people were killed after four planes were hijacked from terrorist group Al Qaeda. Other ceremonies were held in Shanksville, Pennsylvania and Pentagon.
