Albuquerque, NM – The world’s largest Balloon Fiesta is celebrating a full week of launching over 650 balloons that will include 118 special shape balloons from around the world.
The well-organized International Balloon Fiesta starts with Dawn Patrol at 6:00 AM every morning to monitor that a safe lift off for the Balloon Launch from the Balloon Fiesta Park can take place with the existing weather and wind velocity. Mass Ascension is set at 7 am. Sunday was delayed a bit until the winds settled and the green flag went up for a “go.”
The days are full with weekends including a Balloon Glow and fireworks to close the evening.
