Last weekend of Moondance Jam brought the end of 30 years of multi-thousands of fans coming out to hear their favorite bands. The final weekend was no exception to see an open-air arena packed with continual top-quality performances.
Cheap Trick was the headliner that closed the evening and produced the final note with a high-level intense program. There was not an empty space left as fans stayed and enforced the great popularity this group has maintained from being formed in 1973. Cheap Trick was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2016.
Saturday night being the true final evening of 30 years had the Main Stage rocking with Thundherstruck, Grand Funk Railroad, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Don Felder and final note with Cheap Trick. All through the evening as always three other stages had performances.
The Jumbotron showed memorable pictures over the last 30 years when Bill and Kathy Bieloh started Moondance concerts. Bill Bieloh passed away ten years ago and Kathy kept the Jam going until the finale of 30 years in 2021. The great dedicated team of staff and devotion to the Moondance Jam made the venue grow strong. In the end all working at the Jam became embraced more as a family that brought Moondance out with a strong ending on a “High Note.
